Climbers

Our girls are talented!

The best thing about this series of pictures, is Bean hamming it up under Lulu, and conveniently, upstaging her. So Bean...

Mary, I think Bean's expression looks EXACTLY like you in this first picture!!

Rainbow Dash

Bean decided to outfit her swimsuit, prior to swim lessons, with her Rainbow Dash socks and rain boots. It's definitely a look!

I have no idea why she decided to pose like that, though...

Yeah, I Winced...

Bean is helping fold freshly laundered clothes in the laundry basket.

I am working in the front room.

I overheard Bean say to Eddie, after he walked into the kitchen (Bean is folding clothes in the dining room at the dining room table):

"Next, I have to fold mom's underware. It will take [me] a long time because her underware is humongous!!"

Ah...

...the joys of new rain boots! (with light up heels...)

Squeeze at Rev Hall

Eddie and I left the girls with Grandma after Bean's birthday celebration to return to Revolution Hall to see Squeeze perform. This year marks 43 years of the band!

Great show, so much fun!!!

Our Bean is 7

Bean is seven...

Last night, in a rare display of civility, the girls concurred that Bean should get breakfast in bed for her birthday...

Breakfast was six buttermilk pancakes (warmed up from the freezer), the remaining strawberries and whipped cream.

Once up and about, Bean opened her presents from Grandma Mary and Bumpa and Tia Dian.

I know exactly how this conversation went down in California about the adult Rainbow Dash socks:

Tia Dian: "Here, I got these for Jojo! Will you put them in the box you send up?"

Tia Maryann and/or Grandma Mary: "Dian! Those are for an adult!!"

Tia Dian: "Eh, she'll grow into them!"

Josephine loves them, and she'll love them when she's old enough to fit into them, too! :D

Bean loves her kitty ears from Grandma Mary and Bumpa. She had to pose for me...

Yeah, I don't know how she's able to do that with her eye, either...

Later in the day we headed to Grandma Louise's house for dinner and birthday cake. Grandma chose to have a cake made and decorated from Jaciva's this year. We asked for Chi's face to be decorated on it (naturally!) and they did an awesome job...The cake was delicious, too! Bean had requested white cake with chocolate frosting. Grandma and I chose a vanilla custard filling, and then grandma upped the ante by offering cappuccino gelato, strawberry or chocolate ice cream when it was served up.

After cake, ice cream and presents, it was out to the backyard before the rain came down to whack the pinata...

what you don't see photographic evidence of is Lulu whacking the heck out of this very well made Mexican pinata...It finally broke enough and Bean finished the job. Not only was candy falling, but it started raining really hard right at that moment.
